Journal with the cosmos
Did you feel that: a dreamy fog settling over your consciousness, a shift in the cosmos, planets and stars aligning in a pattern that hasn’t been seen since the 1850s. It’s the Jupiter-Neptune conjunction in Pisces, an event that last occurred in 1856 and won’t happen again until 2188.
Why is this so rare? It takes Neptune 165 years to orbit the sun! And astrologers tell us it is going to be a big moment, with effects that will be evident in the coming weeks.
As Pisces, the dreamy water sign, intersects with the intuitive and spiritual planet, Neptune, the effects will be significant, says Carley Jennings, the astrologer behind @lafifthhouse. The positive implications of this astrological moment could be the impulse to dream big. And, because we’re currently in Aries, these dreams could propel you to take action!
But, be cautious of the conjunction's other effects. “It can imply idealizing things,” Carley says. We are perhaps more open to deception during this moment. “We might feel like going full throttle regardless of the consequences,” she says.
On April 16th, the Jupiter-Neptune conjunction will collide with lunar energy as the moon loses its earthly shadow and becomes a full circle in our night’s sky. So, now is the perfect time to pull out our journals and use this once-in-a-lifetime conjunction as a prompt to reflect on the changes happening around us.
Take notice of your impulses. Is everything what it seems to be? Have you been romanticizing or idealizing the people, places, and things around you? One the other hand, this might be a particularly creative moment for you. Are you ready to examine how you might engage with your creative side for the next few weeks? In these last tranquil weeks of April, before the rush of summer, kids getting out of school, and vacations, indulge in your reflections.Remember, the conjunction will manifest itself very differently in all of us, but we should be open to acknowledging these differences and the changes around us! It’s a special and exciting time.
